Throughout my body of artwork I have a consistent interest with emotion. I try to capture emotional events, experiences, or feelings that have occurred in my life and apply them to my artwork in a still life setting. The images conceived are manipulated in relation to the lighting, depth of field, and overall subject matter. I am quite amazed at the result of abstracted forms, shapes, and appearance. My intention is to explore the idea of macro photography and the amount of detail achieved in that process. I want to be able to clearly express the subject matter by getting as close to the piece as possible with my camera lens. This leads me to explore more into camera angles, color, light, and form. I strive to have my photography emotionally full and visually pleasing.
